Scholarship and Financial Aid Disbursement Principles
Approved at the 7th Departmental Meeting of the 2023-2025
[Applicable to students enrolled from the 2026-2025 Academic Year onwards]
I. To encourage outstanding students to study in this department and to reward students with exceptional performance during their studies, these scholarship and financial aid disbursement principles are hereby established.
II. The funding source for scholarships and financial aid is the department's administrative fees.
III. The recipients of scholarships and financial aid are as follows:
(I) First-year undergraduate students of this department.
(II) Current students of this department who have demonstrated exceptional performance, as approved by the Departmental Meeting.
IV. Scholarships and financial aid are divided into the following two categories:
(I) Leading Scholarship: Scholarship for new students.
(II) Encouragement Scholarship: Scholarship for exceptional performance during the studies.
V. Application and Review Methods:
(I) Freshman Entrance Scholarship: Awarded by the department based on admission criteria (e.g., application order, entrance exam scores, or other performance).
(II) Scholarship for Outstanding Performance:
1. Applicants should submit relevant supporting documents.
2. Candidates may be recommended by their advisor or a faculty member of the department.
3. Awarded after approval by the departmental council meeting.
VI. The amount of this scholarship/assistance will be determined by the departmental council meeting based on the annual budget and student performance.
VII. Quotas and Awarding Principles:
(I) The quotas and awarding standards for various scholarships/assistances will be flexibly adjusted by the departmental council meeting based on the annual budget.
(II) The same student may receive multiple scholarships/assistances based on their performance, but this must be approved by the departmental council meeting.
VIII. Rights and Obligations: Award-winning students should cooperate with the department's related activities, share achievements, or assist with departmental promotion matters.
IX. These principles will be implemented after being approved by the departmental council meeting, and will be amended accordingly.
